RCA members are invited! RDI Virtual HTL: Retail Talk — Who Gets to Be a Professional?A lot has happened in recent years that is changing the landscape of design education in the United States and beyond. From the de-professionalization of Architecture as a course of study and funding challenges threatening design programs at state schools to the proliferation of AI, which is poised to fundamentally change not only academia but also the professional world emerging designers will enter into. Join us for our next interactive virtual session, as Michael and Jessie sit down with Mark Mappala, Senior Associate Professor of Interior Design at Bellevue College and Education Chair of the PNW Chapter of RDI, and Lyria Bartlett, Department Chair of the Department of Architectural Studies at the University of Missori, for a candid conversation about the future pipeline of our industry. This interactive discussion will feature audience polls and Q&A, and we encourage you to be ready to join the discussion and share your thoughts with us on camera. This event is free for both members, and non-members. Non-members, if you would like to support the work we are doing to grow the Heartland's Retail Design Community, we invite consider adding a small optional donation along with your registration and/or to explore RDI membership options (we'd love to have you in our group!) Looking forward to seeing you online!
