Westwood Contractors Promotes Matt McBride to Director of Project Management
In his expanded leadership role, Mr. McBride will oversee the company’s project management operations, driving performance consistency and process discipline across all projects. He is responsible for leading the office operations team, which includes project managers, assistant project managers, and project coordinators. His responsibilities encompass recruiting, training, and mentoring team members to ensure seamless project execution and operational excellence. International Contractors Building Porsche Service Center
International Contractors Inc. (Oakbrook Terrace, IL) has a permit to build a Porsche service center and car wash in St. Johns County, FL. Illinois-based Fields Auto Group is moving forrward with $7.2 million worth of projects in the World Commerce Center. The 21,000-square-foot Porsche service center sits on 5.2 acres. The detached car wash and detail center is 4,500 square feet. The developments are the second of three planned phases, following a Mercedes-Benz service center permitted Dec. 2. S.M Wilson Awarded Two Bids for Improvement Projects
S.M. Wilson (St. Louis, MO) has been awarded two bids by Northwest R-1 school officials for the improvement projects being funded with revenue from a $28 million bond issue voters approved in April 2023. The Northwest Jefferson County, MO board voted unanimously Nov. 21 to approve another $96,047 expenditure for the Valley Middle School addition project and a $1,148,222 contract for improvements to the district’s Bus Barn. Wolverine Projects
Wolverine Building Group (Grand Rapids, MI) recently finished a Wesco gas station and convenience store in Grand Haven, MI. The gas station features 10 fuel pumps and a convenience store with a drive-thru window, packaged ice and a propane station. Customers also can online order items such as fresh food, snacks, beverages and tobacco products for delivery or pickup. Crews from Wolverine worked on the project through the summer and fall to bring it online. Click here to read more.

Wolverine recently completed construction of a new CSNIP facility that began in July 2024. CSNIP's new veterinary clinic in Walker, MI, is 12,000-square-foot, and features six wellness and treatment exam rooms, a larger reception area, expanded kennel space, a surgical suite with 10 operating tables and two dental stations, and a multi-use space for staff training and community education. Wolverine is building Michigan’s first Bo’s Bagels, a New York City-based bagel shop, in Ann Arbor. The location is set to open below the Vic Village South apartment complex. The 2,200-square-foot space is expected to have about 20 bar-style seats. Click here to read more.

Crew members from Wolverine are busy putting up the walls of the future Godwin Mercado in Wyoming, MI. The Mercado will be a year-round marketplace for local artisans, farmers and community events. The project is expected to wrap up by August, with a full launch in spring 2026. Once complete, the year-round marketplace will feature a main building with room for around 22 vendors and large garage doors that can open on warm days, plus restrooms and storage. The indoor venue also can host private parties and community events. Outside, there will be a large plaza for parking, food trucks, live entertainment, picnic tables, play areas and more. The marketplace is being built on a 4.96-acre former parking lot. Click here to read more. 

Buildrite Working on GLO30 Location
Buildrite Construction (Kennesaw, GA) is working with GLO30, one of the fastest-growing skincare studios in the country, on the construction of its first location in Missouri. The studio is set to open in spring 2025. GLO30 customers receive a facial every 30 days to improve their skin health. The 1,700-square-foot facility will feature four private treatment rooms; one for the nurse, and three for estheticians. A private event space in the back is available for events. The front waiting room is a retail space with GLO30 proprietary and medical-grade products. Click here to read more.

Management Resource Systems Renovating Ann Taylor
Management Resource Systems Inc. (High Point, NC) is renovating an Ann Taylor location in the St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville, FL. Renovation of the 3,990-square-foot store includes the interior of the store, a new awning, and new signage. Click here to read more.

Fortney & Weygandt Working on Multiple Projects
Fortney & Weygandt(North Olmsted, OH) recently completed an Academy Sports in Springfield, OH. They are bringing a new AutoZone out of the ground in Statesboro, GA and building a new Valvoline in Indiana, PA. The company is busy with Arby’s projects in NC, OH, and PA, and they are building a new Taco Bell in Copley Township, OH. They are also building two WoodSpring Suites hotels, in Algona, WA and Wilmington, DE.

Triad Retail Construction, Inc. Named to Cougar 100 List
Triad Retail Construction, Inc. (Pearland, TX) has been named to the University of Houston’s Cougar 100. The University, in collaboration with the UH Alumni Association, invites exceptional businesses owned and operated by Cougars (alums) to join the esteemed community of excellence known as the Cougar 100! Westwood Contractors Announces Headquarters Relocation
Westwood Contractors, has announced the relocation of its corporate headquarters. Effective April 1, 2025, the company’s new address will be 2001 Beach Street, Suite 400, Fort Worth, TX 76103. The company will occupy the entire fourth floor of the Chase Bank building, increasing its office space by over 60%. The new space will feature modern interior finishes and enhanced collaborative areas designed to foster teamwork and innovation. Click here to read more.
